ALG Vacations (ALGV) has announced plans to host its first annual Kindness Conference in Riviera Maya, Mexico this summer. The new event, which seeks to align with the company's Kindness vision of demonstrating Kindness to Ourselves, Kindness to Others, and Kindness in Travel, will take place at Secrets Moxche Playa del Carmen from August 7-10, 2023.The four-day Kindness Conference will provide the brand’s 40 under 40 chosen travel advisors with the chance to collaborate, learn, and network with ALGV leadership and fellow advisors. Highlights will include cooperative workshops on topics such as mental health and productivity, a dynamic keynote speaker and a hands-on giving-back activity in the local community.Nominations for attendees are now open through the ALGV website and travel advisors can submit a recommendation for either a colleague or themselves (if age 40 or younger) through April 14. Chosen guests will be notified of their selection in May. "Care is our foundation and purpose as a company and as a tour operator," ALGV's Global Head of Trade Brands Jacki Marks said in a statement. "And we believe there is no better way to follow that vision than through kindness. With the introduction of our Kindness Conference, we are proud to be partnering with 40 up-and-coming leaders in travel to continue to transform our industry into one of authenticity, action and advocacy. For advisors coming out of this event, we'd like them to walk away with not only with tools for their own personal and professional growth but a renewed sense of collaboration and kindness across travel."
