Characterized by rugged volcanic peaks, lush rainforests, pristine beaches and coral reefs teeming with marine life, St Vincent and the Grenadines offers an idyllic location for a relaxing getaway.

Whether you visit to explore the islands’ rich and vibrant cultural heritage and unique wildlife or to immerse yourself in outdoor activities, these Caribbean islands will enchant you.

La Soufrière Volcano

La Soufrière Volcano is St Vincent's highest peak and is also an active volcano. Hiking to the summit is a challenging, full-day hike and you need to be accompanied by a guide.

The more accessible trail takes three to four hours. However, note that the trails are rocky and not suited to novice hikers. The path takes you through banana plantations and lush rainforests.

Once at the summit, you can take a rope-guided walk into the crater to get a close look at the lava dome.

The views of the island and sea from the summit are indescribable.

Dark View Falls

The falls are at the foot of La Soufrière Volcano northwest of St Vincent. They are accessible from the parking lot via a short hike through the rainforest.

The waterfall is a two-tiered cascade that drops sixty feet into a natural pool - an ideal spot to cool off and relax. The area surrounding Dark View Falls is magnificent. Its towering trees, vibrant flowers, and diverse wildlife make this a must-see in our minds.

Botanic Gardens

One of the most popular botanic gardens in St Vincent and the Grenadines is the Montreal Gardens. This historic garden was established in 1765 and covers over 7 acres. Visitors can explore the garden's winding paths, see its many exotic plants and flowers, and enjoy views of the surrounding mountains.

We think that the Botanic Gardens at St Vincent and the Grenadines Community College is another must-see for nature lovers. This garden is home to various tropical plants, including palms, orchids, and fruit trees. It’s also a popular bird-watching spot, attracting many local and migratory bird species.

Fort Charlotte

Fort Charlotte is a historic British colonial-era fort in the capital city of Kingstown. The fort was constructed in the late 18th century and played a significant role during the Carib Wars, fought between the British and native Carib people.

Fort Charlotte is a popular tourist attraction and national heritage site. You can explore the fort's historic ramparts and enjoy panoramic views of Kingstown and the surrounding hills. The fort houses a small but informative museum featuring exhibits on the island's history and culture.

Bequia

If you want to spend time on an island other than St Vincent, Bequia is our top choice. This island is home to some of the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean, and each offers its amenities and activities. Bequia has a rich cultural heritage, and sites like the Bequia Maritime Museum and Old Hegg Turtle Museum are worth visiting.

Tobago Cays

Another one of our must-see places is the Tobago Cays, a small group of uninhabited islands in the southern part of the Grenadines. The beaches are pristine, and the water is crystal clear and abundant with marine life, including turtles and rays.

While Tobago Cays is a paradise for scuba divers and snorkeling enthusiasts, it's also home to various bird species that would impress any birdwatcher. If you are there to relax on one of the beaches or secluded coves and soak up this tropical paradise, you won't be disappointed.

Head To Wallilabou Bay

Wallilabou Bay is a picturesque bay on the western coast of St Vincent. While the bay is well known for its crystal clear waters, one of the main attractions is its historical significance as a filming location for several scenes in the blockbuster movie "Pirates of the Caribbean."

We highly recommend taking some time to snorkel or scuba dive at Wallilabou Bay as the waters are truly beautiful. We also suggest stopping at the nearby Wallilabou Heritage Park, which features artifacts and exhibits related to the island's rich cultural history.

Jewels Of The Caribbean

Turquoise waters, white sandy beaches, and uninhabited islands make St Vincent and the Grenadines the perfect destination for a secluded getaway.

But that’s not all this nation offers. A vibrant music and arts scene, a diverse range of terrains, and a warm tropical climate make this multi-island paradise a true gem of the Caribbean.
