Book Like a Pro With ALG Vacations' Specialist Program

ALGVPro is ALG Vacations' new travel advisor specialist program. The program has five interactive Certification modules that, upon completion, give travel advisors the benefit of being a certified pro.

Travel advisors enrolling in the course will learn the differences and similarities between brands. They will also learn about and gain access to a full library of educational resources and booking support.

The course also shows advisors navigation shortcuts for brand websites of preferred brands and includes everything travel advisors need to know to make, retrieve or modify a reservation from simple land-only bookings to groups of more than 100 travelers. The program also demonstrates tips and tricks for complex itineraries such as multi-origin, fly/drive and open jaw.

Travel advisors will also be able to complete bookings from conception to payment. The course teaches advisors about all of the ways to apply payment, including travel credit and how to request refunds. Travel advisors will also learn how to set their own commission and the advantages of ALGV's programs, promotions and product offers as well as all the advisor benefits such as loyalty programs and marketing support.

There are other advantages of going pro apart from just education. ALGVPro graduates receive special marketing to proclaim their Pro status. They also receive one reduced-rate air seat on any ENVF booked 30 - 60 days in advance of departure at the 30- to 0-day fare, as part of ALGV's Discounted Agent Vacation (DAV) program. Advisors are also eligible for quarterly giveaways for hotel stays, exclusive nonstop vacation flight seats, United Airlines amenity vouchers and more-only available for travel advisors who complete the new module.

ALGV's Recommended path begins with the Basic curriculum followed by the advanced curriculum, which includes how to utilize VAX Vacation Access, how to manage group bookings, the latest details on ALGV policies, programs, marketing platforms and more.

Travel advisors who are already familiar with ALG Vacations brands, programs and policies can test out of the basic curriculum and enroll in the Accelerated path.

Travel advisors can earn up to five Travel Institute CEU credits - three credits for completing the Certification curriculum and two more when completing the Elective courses.
