If you’re looking for spectacular terrain, epic outdoor adventures, and rich history, New Zealand is the place to be!

From snow-capped mountains to ancient volcanic peaks, lush forests, and rugged coastlines, this country will never cease to amaze you!

Visit Auckland

Auckland is the first entry point for most people visiting New Zealand, and the city has a lot to offer!

For unmatched, 360-degree views of the city, visit Sky Tower. If you're looking for more, give the Skyjump a go! Jumpers are connected to a cable and fall at speeds of up to 52 mph before coming to a smooth stop at the tower base.

If you’re not up for the adrenaline rush of the Skyjump, take a walk across Auckland Harbour Bridge. A visit to the Auckland War Memorial Museum and a relaxing stroll around The Auckland Domain Wintergardens is well worth the effort.

Explore A Glacier

There are several glaciers you can explore in New Zealand. One of our favorites is the Franz Josef Glacier, which is considered the country's glacial gem. You don't need a guide to see the glacier, but you will need to book a guided tour to walk on it.

If you’re looking to experience this glacier uniquely, consider taking a helicopter tour. The stunning aerial views will make for a truly memorable visit!

Visit Hobbiton

If you’re a Lord of the Rings fan, you won’t want to miss a visit to Hobbiton. The Hobbit Village, built into farmland and transformed into a movie set, is open to the public.

If you want to experience Hobbit life, we recommend visiting Middle Earth with a Hobbiton movie set tour. What better way to relax, than in front of a fire, while you enjoy a pint of locally brewed beer at the Green Dragon Inn?

Wai-O-Tapu

In our opinion, the geothermal wonder on New Zealand North Island, Wai-O-Tapu, is a must-see. This reserve extends over seven square miles. Three relatively flat-circuit walks will take you through the most stunning areas of the park.

You’ll want to set aside at least three hours to take in the vibrant collection of hot springs, geysers, mud pools, and steam vents.

A picnic area is available if you decide to eat lunch in the park. If you’re not a fan of the smell of sulfur, then we suggest having lunch outside of the park.

Haku Falls

Haku Falls is a major tourist attraction near Lake Taupo on the North Island, and it’s clear to see why. The sheer volume of water you’ll experience here is truly majestic.

The Waikato River creates falls that cascade over an 11-meter-wide ledge. This water moves at a  flow rate of 220,000 liters per second!

For the adventurous, there is the option of white water rafting or kayaking in the rapids below the falls. Alternatively, you can admire the water flow from the footbridge at the top of the falls.

Milford Sound

Milford Sound is an unforgettable experience. This fjord was formed by glacial erosion over thousands of years. It is known for the numerous waterfalls pouring into the fjord from 1200 meters above.

We took a coach from Queenstown, a relaxing way to travel and enjoy the scenery. It is well worth staying in the area for a few days to explore the fjord. Trails in the Milford Sound area range from easy walks to challenging hikes.

We recommend taking a cruise across the Sound to get an authentic experience of the towering cliffs.

Visit The Moeraki Boulders

The spherical Moeraki Boulders are on the South Island's east coast. Once the object of Maori folklore, the boulders were created by an accumulation of layers of sediment around a central nucleus.

The boulders, formed over millions of years, range in size from one to two meters in diameter and weigh several tonnes. At low tide, visitors can climb up and over the boulders. We think this area is beautiful for a picnic or a peaceful walk on the beach.

Take A Trip To Middle Earth

If you’re looking for an out-of-this-world travel experience, consider New Zealand for your next holiday!

With its incomparable scenery and geographical diversity, it’s no wonder New Zealand is widely considered one of the world's most beautiful countries.
