Dream Vacations and CruiseOne franchises are reporting that land vacation sales have far surpassed those of 2019 by upward of 100 percent and 26 percent for 2022 sales.
“Cruises are still very much core to what we sell as a network,” said Drew Daly, senior vice president and general manager of Dream Vacations and CruiseOne.
“We have heard from the cruise lines that generating new-to-cruise customers is essential for the business.
“We believe that this strategy will strengthen our ability to source new-to-cruise customers by expanding our customer base through land-based vacations initially.”
To further bolster land-based vacation bookings, Sean Tolkin has been named vice president of land strategy and network performance and is charged with “developing and executing a comprehensive land strategy for the companies’ network of travel advisors,” Dream Vacations and CruiseOne said.
“Our sustained land growth is proof of concept for launching Dream Vacations seven years ago, a brand that doesn’t just speak to cruise, but resonates with potential land vacation clients as well,” Tolkin said.
“I’m thrilled to be in a position where I can interact and listen to our franchise owners and associates about how we can further strengthen their land knowledge, supplier relationships, and marketing.”
Dream Vacations and CruiseOne have already begun to move the needle when it comes to strategies to boost land vacations numbers with “enhanced partnerships, a commitment to greater promotions and incentives as well as more learning and FAM opportunities associated with land-based vacations,” the two companies said.
“Some newer areas of growth include an expanded focus on luxury, technology and land-focused engagement events.”
In addition, Dream Vacations and CruiseOne will hold its 2023 Land Summit at Secrets/Dreams Playa Mujeres on September 10-14, 2023.
