The Villas of Distinction team just experienced the Silversands Villas in Grenada firsthand, and they are here to report on the beachfront property's amenities and excursions as well as on Grenada itself.
From the U.S., travelers can fly direct to the island from Miami or New York. The Villas of Distinction recommends using the fast-track option when landing at the Maurice Bishop International Airport as the passport control lines can get long quickly.
The staff of the Silversands Grenada met the team from Villas of Distinction at the airport and after a 10-minute car ride, they were at the property.

One of the obvious standouts at the property is its infinity pool, the longest in the Caribbean that looks as though it extends into the sea. Cabanas line the pool deck and guests will also find a restaurant.
Staff also recognized the modern, clean lines of the property and noted that Silversands is the newest villa/hotel on the island, opening in 2018. The property is also west-facing, meaning beautiful sunset views.
Another standout of Silversands is its commitment to excellence. Members of the Villas of Distinction staff were met with welcome drinks, and every need was catered to during their stay.
Each villa features its own private infinity pool. The villa the team stayed in featured four bedrooms, two overlooking the beach and two that did not feature sea views but did have their own Jacuzzis.
At the property, there is plenty to keep guests entertained. There is a rum and cigar tasting room, a spa, a fitness center, and two restaurants.
Culinary options are excellent. Grenada is known as the spice island, in particular nutmeg, cinnamon, turmeric, cloves, ginger, and cocoa. Silversands' dining options featured a fusion of international and Grenadian cuisine, including the national dish, Oildown.
There are a number of tour options for visitors to Grenada. The Villas of Distinction team enjoyed a half-day tour of the island led by a local. They saw a spice shop, a waterfall, fed monkeys and more. The team also enjoyed a high-speed BLADE boat ride and snorkeling, which can be arranged by the villa staff.
