The Dominican Republic is a land of diverse landscapes with towering mountains, rushing rivers, stunning lakes, dunes and coastline. These elements combine to allow for the creation of beautiful and challenging golf courses designed by some of the game’s most acclaimed architects, including Pete Dye, P.B. Dye, Jack Nicklaus, Robert Trent Jones Sr., Gary Player, Tom Fazio, Nick Price and Greg Norman.

Overall, there are 27 world-class golf courses in the country, earning the country a reputation as one of the best in the Caribbean for enthusiasts of the game.

The country's southeast region is home to luxury hotels and some of the most beautiful beaches in the world as well as some of the most famous courses. This includes the Teeth of the Dog golf course crafted by Pete Dye. It is perched on a rugged section of coastline. The challenging course gets its name from the jagged rocks that the course was built upon.

In Cap Cana, there are three Jack Nicklaus Signature golf courses, including Punta Espada, and one of the world's premier courses. Eight holes parallel the Caribbean Sea and five more with breathtaking ocean views. Nicklaus has earned praise for incorporating the area's bluffs, beaches, lagoons, and tropical vegetation seamlessly into the course.

Tom Fazio created the beautiful Corales Golf Course, perched along the Caribbean Sea. The 18-hole course is known for its thrilling challenge, the Devil’s Elbow, made up of the last three holes. The course is home to the first PGA TOUR Event held in the Dominican Republic in 2018, and the country has hosted every year since.
