Visit the Ruins of King Herod’s fortress in Masada

Today Masada is a popular and valuable tourist attraction that provides context to one of Middle Eastern History’s great stories. In 2001 the fortress was declared a world heritage site by UNESCO and has, before and since, undergone a restoration that provides any interested traveler with a very good idea of what Masada may have been like in the first century AD.
