Expedia Group announced new partnerships and technology features to expand its partner network following its EXPLORE 23 conference, held at its campus in Seattle, Washington this week.

The partnerships include Mastercard and SoFi, while its technological advances include improvements into Travel OS and other helpful features.

Expedia Group and Mastercard have partnered to offer Mastercard holders a complete loyalty points redemption program offering the ability to redeem credit card loyalty points for Expedia Group travel bookings, called “Travel with Rewards.”

The partnership with SoFi, called “SoFi Travel,” will also soon offer SoFi members the ability to enjoy booking Expedia Group travel experiences and accommodations through SoFi.

Improvements to Travel OS, the group’s travel operating system, include the technology’s fraud capability is available for commercial use. Expedia Group’s Guest Experience Score will also be published to travelers along with hotel partners during the second half of this year.

Other improvements include an expansion to One Key, which offers member-only deals on hotels, cruises and activities. The program has now expanded to offer exclusive deals on flights. One Key will launch on July 6, 2023 within the United States. Expedia TAAP is also seeing improvements with enhanced payment options and the Live Agent chat feature.

“Our growth in B2B is largely due to the pace at which our tech has been adopted by businesses of all sizes who want to either break into travel or expand their current travel offerings. The demand for this business continues to be strong as evidenced by our new partnerships with Mastercard, SoFi, and some of our biggest hotel partners,” said Peter Kern, Vice Chairman and CEO, Expedia Group. “The work we’ve done in building a widespread B2B network that provides travel to millions around the world through leading names in banking, travel and more, will grow as we continue to establish our tech as the primary operating system for the travel industry.”
