Every year, Australia’s golden beaches and spectacular landscapes draw thousands of visitors. Australia’s popularity has grown so much that in the last year, Queensland has been voted as a top holidaying destination.

This sunny destination is one of our favorite vacationing spots. Whether you want to lounge on the beach or explore something new, there are plenty of things to do.

Swim With The Fish On The Great Barrier Reef

There’s no way we couldn’t start with this one. Australia is famous for this colorful reef! It hosts an abundance of sea life that you can dive or snorkel with.

You might spot giant clams, beautiful coral, and even one of the seven different turtle species. There are also 1265 species of fish you can bump into, and you might even see a whale!

Catch A Tan With Kangaroos

If there’s one thing Australia is famous for, it’s kangaroos. Second only to the Great Barrier Reef, these indigenous marsupials are iconic.

If you’re lucky, you might spot them hopping along the beach, looking for some good sun! We highly suggest making a turn at Lucky Bay where Kangaroos are known to make regular hops along the coastline.

Get Your Foodie On

How can you visit Australia without sampling the local cuisine?

If you’re road-tripping through the outback, make sure to stop at the Red Centre for a locally-sourced bush meal. For any foodies out there, we suggest putting this at the top of your list. It will undoubtedly be a meal to remember.

Island Hop

There are over 8000 islands scattered along Australia's coastline. 8000 islands that offer epic adventures to explorers like you!

If you ask us, the Whitsunday Islands should be highlighted, underlined, and repeated on your list of things to do in Australia!

These islands are well known for their calm seas and beautiful scenery. Whether it's a day of relaxing or snorkeling, these islands are pure paradise.

Hike Cradle Mountain

Home to the Tasmanian devil, Cradle Mountain is a lovely hike for nature lovers. Tasmanian devils are known for their shyness, so you’ll be lucky to even see one!

However, If you do want to visit and see these animals, we can help you. Pop in at the Tasmanian Conservation Center, where you can see and interact with these adorable little devils.

Watch Baby Turtles Hatching

This option is very seasonal, so get your timing right! But in our opinion, It’s worth organizing your trip around the hatching of these animals between January and February.

Watching the baby turtles hatch and guiding them to the sea is a unique experience you will never forget.

If you make a turn past Mon Repos Turtle, you will be able to witness the largest collection of nesting loggerhead turtles.

Experience Uluru

Uluru is the largest monolith to be discovered. This impressive rock, located close to Alice Springs, is particularly breathtaking at sunrise and sunset. It’s nestled in the middle of the great Outback.

Experiencing Uluru is magical and we highly recommend it! Uluru used to be and still is, a sacred sight to many indigenous Australians.

Get Lost In Australia

There’s something for everyone down under. Australia’s beauty is breathtaking, and there are plenty of exciting activities to partake in.

You can explore the unique culture and landscape with your family, partner, or even yourself. Australians are remarkably friendly, and the country itself is very safe. Australia is truly one for the books!
